# ¿Qué es la propagación de DNS?

Cuando a un dominio se le dan de alta o modifican los DNS (servidores de nombre de dominio) que son los nombres de servidores que lo asocian a un web hosting, los proveedores de Internet tienen que dar cuenta de ese cambio.

Ese dar cuenta puede demorar de 1 a 48 horas dependiendo del proveedor de Internet.

Por eso, si cambias los DNS quizás demores en ver el sitio web funcionando desde tu ubicación y sí podrá verse desde otras, o viceversa.

Esto sólo se resuelve esperando.
